For some time I have been looking at starting my own hosting operation.

While I would dearly love to go with my own server costs might not permit it for me right now.

I am also looking into reselling space. with this in mind I wondered what peoples experiences of venturesonline reselling are?

I rate them highly and was thinking of going with them. Does anyone have any better suggestions for reselling companies for me to look at?

I had looked at VenturesOnline and they seemed very good. They responded to my questions quickly. If you search for them here you will see many good things. Another choice you could look at if you want to compare more is Hosting Matters.

I have had 1 site with them for about 7 months and I cant emphasise enough how good the uptime etc has been. I totally agree.

I like the way their system works, reselling induvidual packages as opposed to divvying up a pre bought amount of space. I actually upgraded the account to reseller but never got any further with it. At least I got a look around their reseller whm which was impressive.

This is the sort of system I was enquiring about. Specifically I'm looking for peoples opinions on these matters (People who have given it a go).

I've only heard great things about Ventures Online, and their speed is great -- they have a private suit in the Verio data center. They even donated a dedicated server to the Ikonboard project some time ago.
