After Renewed ***********, I did a registrar transfer from MIT to Onlinenic. I found the expiry date is still 2004-JUL-18, it should be 2005-JUL-18 shown in Onlinenic. I asked Onlinenic about this matter, they return the answer is the renew process of *********** in MIT is not completed. Please help me to check whether the transaction is only on MIT and not the actual renew process in extending the expiry date or not? If it is not an valid transaction, would you please help me to refund the payment?

Unfortunately, once the domain name has been renewed, we cannot issue a refund as we have also paid the renewal fee to the Registry in the US and they have a strictly no-refunds policy.

Since I got the reply from Onlinenic, they told me that from Verisign's reply the renew process in MIT is not successful. Please help us to renew the domain name *********** to the correct expiry date. Since we have paid for the renew fee, MIT should either extend the domain name expiry date or refund the unsuccessful renew fee to us. If you are still persist that MIT has renew the domain name successfully, please send me a piece of the domain name renewal successful proof from Verisign/Registry.

The registry has a policy in place, in the event that a domain name is transferred away within 40 days after renewal the year of renewal is taken of the domain name during transfer.
Despite the policies in place by the registry the domain name was renewed on the 6th August 2003 before transfer was initiated.
Your new registrar should have advised you if this policy prior to the transfer.

As I know the Registry will refund all the unsuccessful domain name renewal fee to the registrar (MIT). The fact is the renewal of
*********** is not successful in MIT. Why MIT doesn't refund the unsuccessful domain name renewal fee to us? If MIT have any problem in refunding unsuccessful process fee to customers, then MIT should extend the expiry date of *********** to 1 year. It is the right of every customers!
Refer to your reply:
"Your new registrar should have advised you if this policy prior to the transfer. "
Do MIT have such advisory system, if I make an registrar transfer from other registrar to MIT?

Thank you for your email.
Melbourne IT has a strict no refund policy which was accepted by you at the time you submitted the renewal for *********** online at our website.
As the transaction values are low and the administration costs high, refunds are not provided.

What a such strict no refund policy! In my understanding, the no refund policy should be adaptable when the renew process is successful. The fact is that the renew process is not successful, how can MIT did not refund the unsuccessful renew fee to customer. And maintain their own "strict no refund policy" !
