View Full Version : Modern Bill VS. Client Exec?
Maxplayer14 09-03-2003, 07:09 PM I am soon to launch my hosting site.
But I am unsure of the differences in Modern Bill and Client Exec.
Could anyone give me a little insight on the two?
Does MB have a ticketing system?
Maxplayer14 09-03-2003, 11:00 PM Nobody?
Sheps 09-03-2003, 11:27 PM MB does have a simple support system. But, I would recommend MB. Then get EdgePanel for your support system. With Edge, you can do a nightly import of client information, or even hourly if you want...
You will find both by searching here
Maxplayer14 09-04-2003, 12:13 AM Yeah I think I am gonna go with MB and then add eSupport later, I have been looking at everyone I could find the last few days.
There is a lot and its a hard choice, but I think I have made my mind up. Kayako looks awesome, looks like something the clients will enjoy, and has all the features I need. I think with that and MB I will be set.
coight 09-04-2003, 01:08 AM MB all the way 4.1.0 looks great (feature wise)
VH-Robert 09-04-2003, 08:28 AM I can't wait for the newest version to be released soon.
Maxplayer14 09-04-2003, 08:28 AM Yep, as of today, after days of research on what would best serve my clients and my business. I have chosen MB, and will later use Kayako's eSupport.
I do have to say, there are many of good Helpdesk and Billing options, but my main reason for this choice is that they can be combined to work together.
Geekyguy 09-05-2003, 08:14 AM So far no review about clientexec ?
DayGlo 09-05-2003, 02:44 PM I used ModernBill for about 6 months and switched to clientexec last month.
I am happier with Clientexec all around.

DayGlo 09-08-2003, 08:23 PM It has less bloat, is easier to use, costs less, has everything I need and the support is better.
I suggested a feature and the developer agreed in their public forum that it will be included in a future version :)
comserver 09-09-2003, 03:40 AM I just find modenbill to be too expensive.
There are so many other programs which cost between $89 and $199 and are so good.
If you want to know, i can send you more info.
bye,
Mike

Maxplayer14 09-09-2003, 01:47 PM Well I have gone with MB, it has tons more features, yes looks like a little blout, but looks so much more able to handle a large client base.

It is true: MB is difficult. But if you have some time to play with it, you will be happy you chose MB! :)
