Hello everyone,

I am very new to this forum and also new to this Reseller Business. I need a lot of advice.

Yesterday, I signed up with:
http://www.hostgator.com

I took a 1GB space with 50 GB bandwidth and unlimited Domain hosting with lots of unlimited features.

I wish to know about this company, more than the study I have made. I request everyone who knows any bit t drop a reply here.

Secondly, this company allows me to design my own packages and my prices from scratch. I also have the choice to give what facility I wish to do. I need help from the experienced veterans here in creating the ideal packages with a good profit for me and excellent benefit for my clients.

Please advice me with your ideas on creating the best packages.

Lastly, I am planing to hire a Tech support centre who are specialised in providing 24/7 support to Web hosting companies. If anyone knows about good and affordable companies, please advice on that. The one I am looking at is:
http://www.actsupport.com

Please give me your reviews on this company also.

Greatful to all for your help.

Thanks a lot

I think the two best pieces of advice for you at this point are . . .

1. Do a search for business plans. Writing a business plan will force you to think through many of the options or situations you will face. Planning for them ahead of time will make it a lot easier to get through them smoothly. You will have to determine your market, your pricing strategy, your advertising strategy, your support options, etc.

2. Read, read, read. WHT is a good location to learn about webhosting - what to do, what not to do, how to go about it, what it will take, and on and on.

It is a good sign that you came here asking questions. Otherwise, that would have been my third piece of advice - don't be afraid to ask questions here. There are a lot of experienced folks on these forums to give you answers and to help you out.

Best of luck to you.
