alchiba 08-14-2001, 01:32 PM You're assuming, of course, that the WHOIS info is current and accurate. Often, it isn't. ;)
If they are indeed the same company, why is Instabill giving all its current customers to ClickBank?

If they are indeed the same company, why is Instabill giving all its current customers to ClickBank?
Even if whois data is outdated, it can be used to demonstrate that once upon a time all these sites were controlled by the same group of people. If you're a website owner who's faced with the possibility of losing a couple of thousand bucks courtesy of Instabill, why ignore these clues?
Why refer clients to Clickbank? Well, perhaps Instabill figured out that they would make more money off of commissions from Clickbank, or perhaps revecom can't make a profit off Instabill's risky client base, or perhaps they would like to spite a competitor by sending over the same smorgasbord they happened to choke on.
As the saying goes - "Fool me once, shame on you. But fool me twice ... "
multipleimage 08-15-2001, 09:27 PM it is also possable they started together maybe as a joint and went differnt ways
zentek 08-16-2001, 08:05 PM Actually Revecom and Instabill are pretty much the same.
However, I think the client base is different.
You know... charging an upfront setup fee like Revecom does gets rid of a lot of the "riffraff".
We'll be moving to Revecom from Instabill ASAP. the only headache now is how to move all the customer data over, and/or making people re-signup their creditcard at Revecom.
Anyone have a good way of doing this?
Ericd 08-16-2001, 08:07 PM The best way to have your clients re-submit their data is to tell them the truth. Just tell them InstaBill are stopping to process payment and you need them to re-submit their info. I am sure they will understand if you are nice and polite.
