what version of freebsd can you install on these servers? is 5.1 available? and please provide some info about your network, bandwidth providers etc. thank you.

We can install FreeBSD 5.1 for you, that's not a problem.

As for our providers, right now we use Cogent as our bandwidth provider, and we should be adding a failover line fairly soon (as soon as the people that need do this for us get on to it, hopefully in a week or so).

The addition of the second line is mostly for peace of mind as we've had virtually no downtime from Cogent, and the service and speed is very good in the Dallas area (as our customers can atest to).

You can ping 38.114.3.1 for testing.

That's some good prices, can i ask how many of the first server you have in as i don't have enough money in the bank to get one of them just yet and i would really like one.

Also, have you ever considered offering internal DirectAdmin licences? I'm kinda looking for a DirectAdmin server and their external licencing is far too expensive compared to the internal pricing. As far as I can tell it doesn't even cost a dedicated server provider anything to become a DirectAdmin partner.

To answer all of the above questions:

Yes, we accept e-mail cancellations as well as through our ticketing system. That would be OK. I'm perfectly confident you would be satisfied with our service though. =)

All of our servers are on 100Mbps non-blocked ports. You're free to burst to as much as the server can handle (you can ask our customers on that too!).

We can try and do an OpenBSD installation. However, I would have to try it on the particular server you're interested in, to make sure it will install well over it. Also, our support level on that operating system would be lower, since we're not entirely familiar with it.

The first servers listed, we have about 3 or 4 left. However, we can do them with P4 2.4GHz for just $10/mo additional. That would be our most popular configuration and we always have good stock of those.

As of right now we do not offer internal DirectAdmin licenses. I will investigate what it would take to become a partner.

Where are these servers located?

Our servers are located in Dallas, TX. We lease space from The Planet in their enterprise level datacenter.

The servers are unmanaged. However, we do some tasks that some other companies call management. We do monitor the servers 24/7 (a few services if you wish). We also apply patches and install some applications upon request. As well as kernel upgrades on Linux servers.

As far as the Xeons go, we can only give you deep discounts on servers with 512MBs DDR RAM. I have updated the WHT3 promo code to setup this server for $214/mo. :
