Leave a msg if you're interested. Or do you want me to e-mail you? [Edited by BC on 09-07-2000 at 01:27 AM] akashik 09-07-2000, 03:47 AM Mike, You can take a look at akashik.net and email me is you like. We're focused on business related sites so if you like what you see let us know, and we'll work something out Greg Moore http://www.akashik.net Learner 09-07-2000, 08:55 AM MikeA, You could look at this site: http://www.InterSurge.com designed by Brian Farkas (who is also the owner of the same site). He hangs around this forum nowadays too. His graphical design work is of very high quality... technically speaking. I'll continue posting some other names of well designed websites and their designers here soon for your review. Another pair of webdesigners my attention was recently called to are Arta and Janis Juanarajs. You can see their work at http://jaunarajs.com/ I believe they are also the designers of http://www.odenet.net, which was designed to have a flashy look, and viewing it at it from that angle from a design point of view... very very nice. However, there are several other technical reasons as to why I would personally recommend Brian Farkas above. I recently reviewed his website (on his request) and it got an "A" in design on almost each and every parameter my design team analysed/criticized it on... and, believe me, we review websites on a multitude of technical, aesthetic, marketability issues... very very strictly whenever we are requested to. :) Learner [Edited by Learner on 09-07-2000 at 09:02 AM] Learner 09-07-2000, 09:04 AM BC, please email me with a list of some of your work in your design portfolio. Learner BC 09-07-2000, 09:12 AM Learner, just sent. MikeA 09-07-2000, 09:33 AM BC, e-mail me the same list. I saw Brian's site. Does he do web design. I've been trying to keep up with the forums, but been very busy lately. Learner 09-07-2000, 10:36 AM Originally posted by MikeA I saw Brian's site. Does he do web design. Yes, he has designed his site http://www.InterSurge.com himself. That was what he himself had told me in an email two days ago. Learner Andrew Chen 09-07-2000, 11:08 AM Yes, he does provide web design service. His own design company is Infostardesign.com. Check it out. I do suggest him too. :) Thank you. wondering 09-07-2000, 11:39 AM is there anyway I could know exactly what he's charged before for his level of work? Andrew Chen 09-07-2000, 12:01 PM Brian usually charges more than $1000 per project if I'm not mistaken. But prices may vary depending on the needs of the project. Just remember, what you give is what you get. He has a good portfolio so, I feel that his work is worth the price. :) Thank you. kian 09-07-2000, 03:54 PM How could I show my work without looking like I wan't his customers? I really don't care if I get a web design client here, but just wanna show my skills :P BC 09-07-2000, 06:46 PM Maybe we should ask Matt (SysAdmin) to set up a new 'web site critique/show off' forum? I'd love to see it and I'd certainly like to help others out too. Anyone with me? I know it's a bit off topic in regards to WebHostLink, but I'd love it if I saw one here. kian 09-07-2000, 07:10 PM yea, that would be pretty cool if anyone wants to see some stuff Iv'e done and am doing, email me at kian@zxmail.com for now :P TheComputerGuy 09-07-2000, 07:30 PM Someone pretty professional, maybe Dale Watson, he has a kinda of unprofessional site right now (sorry can't lie about that), but he has a really good amount of jobs he has done, and he is pretty reasonable priced. http://www.saucegal.com . You may want to check him out. ODE 09-07-2000, 08:51 PM BC, A critique forum..... I like that idea. I think we could all benefit from some sort of peer review. [Edited by ODE on 09-07-2000 at 08:59 PM] MikeA 09-07-2000, 10:07 PM For those who have e-mailed or recommended someone, I'll be sending a mass e-mail out (yep, got like 10 responses) with what I'm looking for. If you want to be on this list, please e-mail me. Thanks to those who responded, some great talent out there. Brian Farkas 09-09-2000, 12:17 AM Originally posted by wondering is there anyway I could know exactly what he's charged before for his level of work? Just saw this thread, and thought I would respond. :) Yes, I do run a web design company at http://www.infostardesign.com... We would be happy to give you a free quote if you fill out the quotation form here: http://www.infostardesign.com/quote.html Or, if you prefer, we could work on an hourly pricing schedule at the rates available here: http://www.infostardesign.com/webdesign/pricing.html The price really does vary depending on each project, as each individual site involves a different amount of work in order to complete it. :D Thanks, Brian Rain 09-09-2000, 01:15 AM Heh, How about me? I've helped with the design of two professional "national" sites(I dont think it would be appropriate for me to post the sites here. I also have portfolio that would be very "competitive" with the sites I have seen posted here. I would like to know however how much you are willing to spend. If you want we could also arrange a "business" trade.. design for hosting+ a little cash. MikeA 09-09-2000, 08:39 PM Send me an e-mail and I'll give you the details. |
