Finally???
I'd like to think there's a few around already if you don't mind :D
splatwd 08-14-2001, 06:39 AM You figured that out all by yourself?

Excuse me? My comment was made more in jest than anything but you seem to have taken it as some kind of flame...
It wasn't intended that way, nor am I trying to top post you with my services (I've enough work on thanks) so dial down a little ok.

If you have too much work, why do you take your time to write insignificant replies?
No offense intended in any way.
G'day Franz,
Gee, I wonder how many new friends (or clients) you're going to find on this board with that feisty old attitude?
Your interaction with other contributors is really the only way we can initially gauge your professionalism without meeting you personally.
Not a great first impression I'm afraid.
Best Regards,

No offense intended in any way. Hmm, I was taking a break as it happens and saw the humour in your post where your subject was implying that rest of us designers are perhaps not professionals... I know you don't mean it exactly and I had a chuckle. The abrupt response was a bit of a shock as a result.
Apologies where due though.
DesignUser 08-14-2001, 08:14 AM Dear "Franz",
I think you've offended many web designers with your joke "Finally, ...." but they took it as a joke. Obviously though, you cannot take jokes (or understand them). WebSnail.net was polite enough to point your problem out in a discrete way.
You sound like a 10 year old whining with all the defensiveness. I doubt you will get customers from the way you sound now. Why don't you shape up and act more professional. I certainly will never, ever consider you for a design job, and will never recommend my co-workers to you because of the way your first impression turned out. Take this as a lesson, and do not lose future customers with your childish antics.
Regards

I agree. Actually Franz I was only reading this post because I was going to make the same comment about the subject line. "Wow! Finally, professional web design!" is a hyped line that belongs on an FFA page more than it does on a board of professional designers.
To be honest it makes you look desperate (of course posting a blatant advertisement to this board more than once a week doesn't help much either).
I will say that I like your new design better than your old one, but if you are still quoting people the same prices that you once had listed on the site they are overpaying, and your "people skills" seem to leave something to be desired. If you want a bad reputation in the design world you are on your way friend.
Not exactly the best was to drum up business....
My 4.3 cents.
splatwd 08-14-2001, 08:59 PM I'm really sorry for all of you that misunderstood. I just get a little bit frustrated when people mess up my thread with comments that I didn't ask for.
Hope you all understand, please reply to this post,

splatwd 08-14-2001, 09:11 PM Oh, hi, and by the way, when I said "Finally...", I did not mean to question any web designers professionalism in this board. As a matter of fact, when I posted the thread for the 1st time, I tried to edit the subject because of the problems it may and have caused, but I guess this board only allows to edit messages, not subjects.
For all of the people who read this please dont misunderstand or misjudge me or our company. Splatwd.com knows that there are other professional web design companies that can work as well as us.
Our apologies to all the web designers that misunderstand our advertising techniques.
If you have anything to say regarding this thread, please reply to it.
Thank You
