Hello,
Does anybody have a nocster server that I could download a large file perhaps 20mb to test their speeds?
-Thanks!

I'd be interested in hearting the results. I'm a bit of a newbie so, rather than throw some numbers at me, speak slowly in language I can understand ;-)

I got an average of about 100kb/s that is alright for a network such as this. I believe they may cap their users at 100kb/s because neither download went over this, just hovered below it.
Thank you to all who helped me. :)

Actually, its capped way above that, on my server it went as high as 20mb/s before on the mrtg graphs..

Placid,
Actually, it is probably nice to know where are you from and what kind of connection are you getting from the link ?
I am from Singapore with a Cable Modem and getting about 150Kbps with the link I gave you. It is much faster than the server at Server Matrix as far as speed goes.

Ah yes, Forgot that. I am from Vancouver, Canada and get very decent download speeds on my Shawcable.net line. It must be bad routing to me from the datacenter, because I just got around 500kb/s yesterday from a server in Amsterdam.

Could have been anything. If I recall correctly, Nocster had some problem with some pipes and they could have rerouted the traffic somewhere or it went through that slower pipe..
Feel free to try again another day.
