View Full Version : Put New Clients in Enom Sub Account?

I'm somewhat new to this game and setting up a web hosting site and I'm thinking of registering the domains on behalf of my clients using my Enom Reseller account. The questions I have are:

1. Should I register each client's domain into a separate sub-account, or into my main account? If I gather correctly, the main account does not charge me for credit card processing, while the sub-account does.

2. If I put the client's domain into my main account, will they be able to login to their domain account and make changes/upgrades/renewals? I'm guessing not, but then I notice on the Reseller page there's an option called "Customer Self Service Domain Access" which lets you assign a password to any domain. Would that do the trick?

3. To use the API would you need an admin hosting account to have full control of your server?

Thanks very much in advance.
Peter

We simply give passwords to the customer. If they want access to the domain entirely, we stick it in it's own account - but only on request. We understand that the domain was bought/paid for by the customer and is therefore there own, we simply find it easier to manage them in one place. We have no problem giving them their domains though!

Much appreciated.
