im using a program that can turn your ip address into a website that you host in a specific directory (i dont have fast connection) on your computer, and i was just totally curious, how would bandwidth work? Like if other people downloaded files off my computer, how will my computer feel it if alot of people downloaded a huge file? I am not thinking about anything just wondering if anyone knew how it would work. im just really curious, sorry if this is sounding weird, thanks

i imagine, if you're on a 56k like me, that yr connection would slow considerably :)
are you referring to the ICQ homepage thing? i remember something like that.. *goes to look it up*

its a program called minihttp ( ftp.freestuffheaven.com/minihttp.exe )only 6 kb. if you ron a 28k (like me i have no idea if its a modem problem or a phone line problem:( ) then its really slow i bet. i relized it would be slow if you didnt have high speed connection but i wasnt really reffering to the speed but like bandwidth. mayeb their isnt an answer to my question

Well, if you are on a slow line, ie a modem, your computer should be fine, but ur connection will be crap. If you are on a cable modem, and a large file or multiple files are being downloaded, both computer and line will lagg.

If you're on a modem, you probably won't be able to surf while someone is conecting to your homepage. Or it will take around 2 minutes for a page to load ...
