Ok VDI we have been with you for some time now.. A few problems here and there some problems still not fixed we reported 3 months ago one IP problem, NeoMail Problems. I don't know them all my self as i am the NT tech. But i am sick of my Unix tech bitching at me man what's up with VDI are we going to get a update. Man we should just move over to burst.net i don't like to hear this but its starting to look good ot me.
But man you guys are so far behind its nuts and don't know how to tell us any thing.. I mean look at cpanel.net lets see what they have done you have not even came close to yet.

1) RedHat 7.0, RedHat 7.1 support now thats nice.
2) But wait there's more, Mandrake 8.0, Mandrake 7.2 my god.
3)Added curl module
4)added resolving support to webalizer
5)fixed some reserve ips bugs. Hey heres one i told you about 3 months ago.
6)Neomail Fixes now thats nice to see.
7)update analog
8)whostmgr bug fixes
9)now offering mod_gzip. You mean i could of done this an easy way.. LOL
10)phpMyAdmin Updated
11)updated exim to 3.22
12)fixed a resolver problem with exim
13)made chkservd more reliable i know this is a problem we have problems with this all the time..
14) fixed a problem with more then one ethernet card in a machine. I hope this is not a problme in webPanel have not tested it yet but god.
15)Frontpage 2002 Support Now this would be real nice to see some time soon as Office XP is out you know!
16)more cppop fixes
17)Interchange updated to latest version. Boy would hate to be able tooffer our users the up todate stuff..
18)cppop releases lock file to new processes
cppop no longer cuts of messages
cppop now deletes messages that were deleted with DELE even if a timeout happens boy look at these fixes.. You say these are not CPanel problems but server problems.. Then why has CPanel.net made fixes for them..

Look guy. William, Adam, John who every.. All we have asked from you is to keep us up to date but you have done nothing but left us out in the cold. Please just tell us the truth do you have nay idea how to fix these problems and keep CPanel uptodate since the progrmer left if not please tell me know. I need to know some thing guys..

How many here say Darkorb or VDI i am lost and not sure what way to go some one please help VDI is driving me nuts. VDI i know you will read this and replay with some thing smart as you do some times. Thats fine maybe i can read between the line and get a update out of it.. I don't mean to bash any one here (VDI) i just need to know what's up i have asked over and over you keep saying next week next week.. But it comes time to take that $100 bucks you do that on time thats for damn sure.. LOL

DarkOrb users. If we have to is it easy to upgrade from VDI ver. to curent ver. of DarkOrb should thee be any problems?

Also any DarkOrb Resellers Burst, Site5, who ever we are moving to our NEW NOC and want to push a control panel we are really looking at Plesk for all server but would like to have a stable fast and be able to work with some one to send CPaenl orders to. I picked VDI as they say they are big and some users here like them and can pick up the phone but i guess that does ot mean they fix any thing..

Please Help

DarkOrb users. If we have to is it easy to upgrade from VDI ver. to curent ver. of DarkOrb should thee be any problems?

this is the real problem here. How can you shift all running accounts with VDI C Panel to darkorb.net or any other similar control panel with all user data including email accounts, user files, frontpage webs etc.

i think we should wait untill VDI release something new. Of course you may go with NOCsoft or darkorb.net C PANEL on new servers without any problem.

waiting for others to response on this. :(

DarkORB has been on top of everything we've (world) have thrown at them. All fixes, bugs, everything...patched within an hour. Check out their support form: http://support.cpanel.net. Two thumbs up to them.

Synergy,

We only have one CPanel bax as right now we ar enot sure if we even want any more. Plesk, Ensim don't offer up as much as WebPanel or Cpanel but they work that is nice thing..

teck,

Yea i been keeping an eye on cpnel.net they have been on a role with fixes VDI have not even made one good fix yet.. Same problems as we had the day we signed up with them..

From talking to BurstNet they said right now moving from WebPanel to DarkOrb CPanel would be easy as they are still close to each other.. But i am not sure how they will work once they go to NOCsoft.. I have e-mailed nike at burstnet with not much luck hearing back if its easy and safe to move from one to the other right now..

I believe VDI is working on a complete overhaul of the CP software from the ground up.

Upgrading from DarkOrb Cpanel3 to NOCSoft will be a smooth transition. This was a major concern of ours. We actually just finished the upgrade transition programming this weekend.

We are very happy with Dark Orb CPanel.

Less bugs, and the bugs I have found I have reported and Nick is fixing them there and then, and adding them to the cpanel tree.

In fact, its cpanel4 now isnt it? :) All ready for the NocSoft upgrade :D

Yup, cpanel went to version 4 this past weekend. Supposedly, by doing this, the transition to nocsoft will be effortless since they are slowly implementing everything. Kudos to DarkOrb.

By the way, if you're wondering what version you have, just type the following at the linux prompt:

/usr/local/cpanel/cpanel -V

If you are already running a version of cpanel/webpanel
You need to upgrade to cpanel4 before you can upgrade to NocSoft

that's fine but one of my service provider is vdi based where i use web panel 3.7.0 and i don't think so he will do this stuff for me and neither it will be good idea to be at vdi and ask support from dark orb group on there competitors servers. it looks bad idea to me.
