Hi...

I'm currently designing a site from the ground up which includes the logo for a client who's project concept is for an opt in text messaging service.

The name of the site is tiktext.com.

Anyway as with all things I've been staring at the logo for ages so I'd appreciate any fresh thoughts/comments on the following

ver 1 - http://www.websnail.net/_working/tiktext/images/logo/ver1.gif

ver 2 - http://www.websnail.net/_working/tiktext/images/logo/ver2.gif

ver 3 - http://www.websnail.net/_working/tiktext/images/logo/ver3.gif

ver 4 - http://www.websnail.net/_working/tiktext/images/logo/ver4.gif

Thanks in advance... :)

I'm not going to pick one, but the "K" on each of them bothered me one way or another. Just IMHO.

I like the first one the best. That K is a little messed up.

Number 4 and 3 were pretty good.

It really depends on the background and what the web site looks like. (if it's going to be on a web site)

Thanks for the feedback so far from all of you...

The 'K' seems to be bothering me a lot as well... it feels busy even on the first one... I suspect that green won't remain a colour on the site (I was headed that way because of the screen for mobile phones)

I'll see what the client says on this... Oh and it's a multi media graphics i.e. letterhead, business card, site, etc... so I have to keep that in mind too.

Cheers

You need to find something and modify that "K" a little :cartman:

My opinion is to wipe the memory of those out of your mind and try something different. Then compare that effort with these.

though yr mind's probably made up by now:
i wouldn't recognise the k 3&4 as being a k
if i didn't already know it was a k

I read the post after, just skipped right to the links and I had no idea that was a "K". I'd have to agree with Chicken, and if you're going to use a symbol for that particular letter it really needs to stand out more.

Not to critisize. . . .But I have to agree with Chicken and Seer.

Ah well I guess advice is what I came here for...
:bawling: :bawling:

I guess I'll just do my best to start over... Hmm... perhaps going out and getting drunk would help with the first part :D

Thanks for the input people, much appreciated, even if it wasn't quite what I was after.

Cheers

*sigh*...

... and after all that the client has just informed me that he has a full bore graphic designer working on the logo.

Oh well one less job but an annoyance for time wasted.

Ah well. Thanks for the input anyways folks...

They looks pretty much the same but i think the fourth one had more balance font size.
