Just wondering what it takes for creating templates for resale. I have a copy of Photoshop, but I was wondering mostly about fonts.

I found this font on my hard drive, but are fonts copyrighted, and can I use them royalty free in templates? Or do I have to purchase some sort of license for them? The font in question here is VAG Rounded BT.

Thanks :)

Ive always done this for logos/templates:

Logos:

Make a .zip with the following folders: Source, Objects, Previews, Fonts.

Source: Complete logo (object and words) in .psd format
Objects: Just object in greater scale in .psd format
Previews: .jpg, .png, .gif of Source and Object .psd's
Fonts: Any fonts used

No, you will not have to purchase a licesene for any font. Once you have purchased or acquired you can distribute as freeware as long as any copyrights are still intact.

Font authors usually add instructions on how to proceed if you use the font in any commercial way - that is if they demand something in return.

You should be converting your type to curves when you're logo is done, no fonts required.
