I've just taken up a raq4r from rackshack.
I'd done my DNS set up exactly as mentioned in the manuals i.e.
When i ordered my server i had given the name of my site www.abc.com for its default site

Now rack shack had sent me a welcome mail in which they sent one IP for eg 192.168.0.5 on which my site www.abc.com is running.

I had then added my primary dns on the same IP i.e 192.168.0.5 by giving the host name as www and the domainname as abc.com later i added this ip in the network by giving it as primary dns i.e. 192.168.0.5 and i left the secondary dns as it is which was given by default i.e. of dns of ev1.net

I also requested for 2 additional Ip's from rackshack which i got like 192.168.0.8 and 192.168.0.9 now i created two virtual sites i.e. ns1.abc.com and ns2.abc.com assigning them the 2 additional ip's which i had got from rackshak later.so that thses sites could be run as virtual namservers to point and host my other virtual sites.also i had setup the PTR for all these domains.

Now my question is that Is this all I'm required to do ?? and is their harm or benefit to leave the secondary DNS of EV1.net in the network panel of my RAQ and now can i host my additional virtual sites on any of these 3 IP's or only on the primary dns and can give the nameservers as the ns1.abc.com and ns2.abc.com

Oh yeah i forgot to tell before i didi this i had registered my name serervs from internic on the 2 additional IP's

Am i going right or do i need to make some changes ???

thanks

Well, in general you can host virual sites off of the IP so long as that site is properly DNS'd and set up on the server. I'm not sure if this question is confusing or I just haven't had a second cup of coffee yet
