Just trying to get a base number...

Almost nothing to be honest, the ui seems poorly done, and the buttons aren't very much. Saying $10 would not really make sense, and it simply would not sell for even that much.

I'm not being harsh, I am just saying it as it it, it won't be worth very much.

You might want to redo the whole design if you do plan to sell it. It doesn't really look very professional and the blue title bars are a bit too large. The buttons don't look too good, try bevelling them a little. Also bring the page elements closer together as it would maintain the flow of the page. :)

I had a bevel on them before and got a comment that the rest of the site looked flat cause the buttons had a bevel. I know your not being harsh there is no way to say 'it sucks' nicely :-)

The page elements and postions and how many are up to the person who buys it IMO. I can however add more here in a bit I was working on a different design.

Comments on it would be much appreciated also...

The one you just posted is way too blurry.

Did a little work on both tell me what you think...

Bad colors and bad use of space on both of them. You should consider these practice layouts and start over.

Your thinking for a web hosting site yes of course its a bad use of space for a hosting site. This is for a portfolio and its supposed to look kewl not professional. (maybe a combination of both) however the first one is just a freebie that I plan on giving away so no problems there.

Also what do you mean by bad colors? I have seen LOTS of sites with blue and white/gray. Also not to mention the second one is small cause its a preview :p the table is most certainly not in the correct spot I havnt figured out a layout of tables I like yet.

Blue and grey is a perfect match, i use that color combination a lot. Though you have to know which shades to pick. The ones you picked don't flow and look bad.

Yes, wrong shades. You can look at http://hostskin.com for some really good designs and get ideas from there. If you want to see a blue-gray combination, clicking on the Website link on most members' posts would reveal one :)

BTW, my site has a blue-white-gray combination too. Just looks the best. :D

Ok I fixed the second one (I think) any way if you would take a look at it that would be much appreciated.

It's still way too blurry. The colour combination looks better than before.

I would suggest combining the header with the left side nav, or making the header a rectangular shape, not interfering with the rest of the page.

Thanks for the comments... After a couple of comments on other forums I did some more work on it and came up with this...

http://www.cputhings.us/images/creative2.jpg (yes it is different)

What I attempted to do was give it defined edges and stuff like that.

I see what you mean about the header it kinda stands out dont it...

Header problem fixed...

getting better. less blurry is better but not all the time, if you know where to put the blurs of course.

Try to make your site still less blurry. Also try and integrate the header with the rest of the page.

Somewhat like this:
http://deathdart.auburnaura.com/temp/temp1.gif

Don't make the navigation bar and header and the content area look like detached pieces of a page. Make them so they look like they're all working together to make the page look better ;)

You know Deathdart your post has been one of the most usefull thus far (I have this on 3 forums asking for a little bit of Critisism) I thank you for not bashing and at very least giving me something to work with

I never bashed your work, i just said it was too blurry. Sometimes the truth hurts.

You did ask for criticism which is often negative and not positive. In your case there was room for much improvement.

Not you firefuze or Ionsurge you both gave useful critz as well just not as useful as death. I do realize that critz can be negitive and I usually take it very well as long as they give me something to work with (example: bad= IT SUCKZ good= IT SUCKS but here is what you could do to improve it or this is what I dont like about it)

I thank both of you and it wasnt on this forum that I was a little upset about. Someone was very very rude on another forum.

Once you have gotten most of the essintials that need to go there. (ie, contents) i think it's worth atlest $50 But do change the GRAY area.

I have not been a fan of just solid colors. Put some catchy textures and some dummy text might give it a better look.

Deathdart

Yeah, some people might not even buy the template until they see how their content will look in it. So do add some text in it, just some fake stuff.

This is just a suggestion, but I think you should really look at other peoples' templates before attempting your own.

If you want an example of dummy text and fake content, see the following link:

look yes, copy no :-)

phisholay thanks man :-) However I have deleted the PSD so it no longer exists. Just gonna have to give it another go! :-)

Deathdart

I really wouldn't say the layout is worth $50, but if you code it and include an alternate color scheme or two with the PSD, you may get $30 - $35 for it.
