NAC.net went down exactly 6 minutes ago. :cool: :(

NAC Is not down, check out my site www.pwebtech.com. They are upgrading the switch that your provider is connected to.

Would this by any chance be the reason I can't access my two domains on Site5, Site5's web site and also their support site? I know you don't work for them but maybe you know if they are connected some way with NAC?

I had absolutely no traffic to my Pegasus machine for over 70 minutes.

from what i heard they were upgrading a switch?

hmm.

what exactly did they change? that was some awefully expensive downtime to not be notified about.

Still, some advance notification would have been nice, it could have saved me getting out of bed at 4 AM to see what was wrong.

If it was out of their control, that's understandable, but there seems to be a lack in communication.

They're almost never down, but it i guess its a good time to buy snow stocks if all the eskimos are suddenly buying. :D :(

Why are they down two time in a week.
They keep saying 5-10 min downtime then it lasts up to an hour.

It has not been a good week... Friday my server was down for over eleven HOURS because the power supply broke :(

Everyone back to work, coffee break is over ...they're back up :stickout :D

All hosts in the NAC.net DataCenter are down and sometimes they just don't know about downtimes in advance.

To tell the truth it seems that most of the hosts you might be considering will be on the same or similarly affected networks themselves.

Right now I can't access Mchost either... 22:37GMT.

I would suggest that the hosts consider chasing this though as the sporadic up/downtime seems to indicate that there's a bigger problem than a simple switch taking place. :(

FYI, the traceroute gets as far as nac.net and then times out.

I wouldn't think this is scheduled downtime... not in mid-afternoon.

I just called Pegasus and they told me NAC has a router down.

First its the switch, then power, then something else.

From my host:

"Update: NAC is replacing their core router which has been having problems. Once replaced the network will be accessible again. There is no ETA at their end at this time. More updates to come as we receive them."

"Update: The router that feeds pnap.net is being bounced. More updates to come."

I don't think changing the "main router" is a 30min job.

Lost 8 customers over the past week about this. I would like to know what is really going on. Seems like alot of excuses are surfacing, but no real answers.

It's certainly understandable that NAC had issues (everybody does) It would be great though if somebody inside the server room could (maybe Jay) give us the scoop of what happened to put our minds at ease. Go easy on Nac, they rock. Thanks in advance.

For those who don't know already, Nac.net's network outage page is at http://www.nac.net/outages.asp and generally explains any outages that occur. It would be better though if they could put that info on a page off their network, so we don't have to wait until service is restored before we know what's going on.

Just like they said, they are still working on this router problem so I guess we should expect more downtime.

it's back up, I recieved any info so I don't know if/when we should expect it to be down again.
