View Full Version : Burlee, HostMySite and Reliability

I require hosting on NT or Windows2000. Frankly, what is the highest amount of uptime I can expect? I know that promises of 99.9% uptime are full of sh*t.

I signed up with HostMySite 2 days ago and there was already downtime last night lasting 1.0 hours. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume this is a fluke. But if this happens again, I'd like some advice on which NT host are the most reliability (i.e. uptime). I doubt HostMySite operate their own data centers and I've been thinking that I need a host that have their own equipment and location. I've been thinking about either Burlee and Affinity. Can someone please comment? And are there studies out that that compare the uptime rate amongst various webhosts?

take a look at pegasus.
They are probably, or seem to be, the most reputable/respected company around these boards.
Nothing but good things.

My site on HostMySite was down for about 20 mins again this morning. The funny thing is that while they are down, my emails to their Support Dept comes back undeliverable. I'm outta there. I'm still hoping someone out there can give some advice on whether I should try Burlee or Affinity and whether or not host who have their own equipment perform better than those who are resellers.

One thing the moderator took out (of what was originally a detailed response) is that we are extremely committed to customer service and will always do whatever it takes to make the situation right.
