Hi everyone, I have been a fly-on-the-wall for a while and have taken a much needed break from all this IT stuff, so now I'm kinda left behind again...

I have a hosting account with ImHosted and am thinking of moving to a more reliable company. I had narrowed my choices down to Httpme and UnitedHosting, but this was quite a few months ago.

What I'm after is a fast and reliable IMAP service, along with the regular hosting stuff. My needs aren't that demanding right now but I would like the option to easily upgrade the service should I need to. I am really just maintaining the few clients I already have rather than fishing for more right now as I am changing careers and devoting my time to further studies. So something like UnitedHostings starter plan is great for me right now, but the IMAP service is quite important.

I don't think you can go wrong with UnitedHosting.co.uk if they have all you need. I guess Httpme either. These companies both have great reputations on this board and either would be a safe choice as long as they had what you needed. Try their support departments, and email them about what you need, etc. This way you kill 2 birds with the one stone. Support response time and features are tested.

Both have a fine reputation. No need to go bothering support people with sales quesions. I'm sure they'll get back to you in a timely fashion.

I would think its better to email the correct department - as you would if you were a customer.

Therefore the reason I put support departments as in Sales and Support. Many hosts will have great Sales response times, but are slow on the Support end. Although Unitedhosting.co.uk isn't one of them. ;)

I can confirm that IMAP services work fine with United Hosting.

They have also lived up to their reputation here in regards to support.

While I have only been with them for a month, I intend on being with them for quite a long time.
