View Full Version : Which services beat SnapNames
NelsonT 08-25-2003, 06:34 AM I need a name-catch service to beat SnapNames, because someone else register to use SN to grab a domain name I also want.
I had wasted money using ExpireFish on another domain name, when the domain name grabbed by another guy, it was showed on-hold by registrar in EF's control panel, too funny,
I emailed to EF, no answers.
dmaven 08-25-2003, 08:08 AM There are a number of other services, the only one(s) I see that do well is pool.com and namewinner
kohashi 08-25-2003, 10:40 AM www.namewinner.com
www.thefirstname.com
www.pool.com
www.namefox.com
www.godaddy.com

I emailed to EF, no answers. ExpireFish won't respond to my inquiries either. About a year and a half ago they grabbed me some great names... but now I guess they've given up. Consistently, I have found that on the drop day, they are often showing the domain name still in the REDEMPTIONPERIOD... they don't seem to even try to grab the names.
kohashi 08-25-2003, 12:02 PM expirefish wont catch a cold ;)
Domain-Chat 08-25-2003, 07:49 PM SnapNames is not good anymore
Try Pool.com or Namewinner.com
petemitchell 08-27-2003, 12:55 AM I have been using Pool.com and they seems to be getting all the domains that I ordered. Seems to be beating SN at the game as everytime I checked SN is there too.
However, the auction can be a pain though ... to your pocket I mean.
DevilDude 08-27-2003, 04:47 AM Just plan on buying i from BD ;)
kohashi 08-27-2003, 06:54 AM Pool has 17 registrars last I heard.... that is quite a lot. but if you really want the name, cover all bases,
Godaddy, snap, pool, namefox, dropwizard, thefirstname, dropcatcher, enom.
Then just pray some of those 'private' registrars dont grab it... like BuyDomains.....

I registed and used Pool & Namewinner 's services.
But "RareName WebReg" wins the domain I want.
I find several domains (ex. altmedia.net) in Pool's HOTLIST are registed by RN WebReg.
Any experiences with RN WebReg?
sponk 09-06-2003, 06:04 PM Pool is really amazing right now with its many catches. IMHO its the leading public catcher.
Stable 09-06-2003, 11:12 PM If you want a 100% chance at getting the name, use network solutions new backorder feature... They even say on their site that you will be the next owner if you order it. Seeing how they already play unfair - they they do manage a few of the global registry databases, ya can't go wrong!
