Heya! :)

Once again, I am seeking opinions from the experts in webhosting on digitalspace.net

I am just thinking of planning to subscribe to another webhost just to host my own brand of email. heh..

digitalspace.net offers unlimited pop3 accounts with no disk space quota. This is useful when I am abroad and my friends are sending tons and tons of file attachments.

The starter package starts from $3 per month with no setup fees, 10mb disk space and 2500mb bandwidth.

Comes with other useful stuff like 2 free sub domains and mySQL, CGI, FP2000, telnet and ftp account.

Anybody has any bad experience with digitalspace.net?

Thanks! :wavey:
Cheers!

Eric

I currently have three domains hosted with Digital Space. They have had short downtimes over the past three months. You get what you pay for I guess.

But for me, the support has been nothing but great. I recieve answers to my questions in a resonable amount of time. Worst case: 1 day Best Case: 15 minutes.

I have personally recommended them to a couple of my friends who are just starting out with their website. Based on my experience with DS, I would say give them a chance if you are just starting out and on a tight budget.

But like those who have posted many times before, read.. read.. and read more on what others are saying about any host you are considering and make your own informed decision.

I have a domain hosted with DigitalSpace 6 days out of 7.

The seventh, it's ... unavailiable.

Everything else is fine (support, web based control panel, price, features) but downtime ruins it all !

Can be Ok for hobby or domain parking, but not for serious use.

It depends on what you are using it for. Like he said, it should be fine for what he needs, inexpensive hosting. I have never had a site at Digital Space, so I don't know about up time. If they seem like a good deal, go for it. You can always move if you don't like it.
