It expired a few months ago as it is. SI-Chris 08-11-2001, 01:51 AM That is interesting... I wonder what all those people who make money off of selling deleted domain name lists and the like are going to do? mahinder 08-11-2001, 05:30 AM this is very good news. People who make money out of such deleted domain are mostly frauds and cheats and threat to whole internet communities and trade mark practices. They should be done long time ago. astralexis 08-11-2001, 06:07 AM Hmm, the domain I want expired some 10 days ago and I was waiting for it to drop - guess that's not gona happen anywhen soon. Scott 08-11-2001, 06:20 AM They, ICANN, should have expected this would happen long ago. If you think this sucks, wait till they release the .biz & .info TLD's  thomas1 08-11-2001, 10:06 AM Perhaps slightly off-topic, but I am wondering if cybersquatting really pays off. Do companies such as greatdomains.com and others make good business? Who's willing to spend a few hundred $$$ or more for a "great domain"? I'd rather choose an alternate domain name than feeding these speculators. Chicken 08-11-2001, 10:26 AM 1500 attempts per second? Yikes. I'm not sure how to solve this, but ceasing batch drops isn't going to quell the natives for long. :D Jonathan K. 08-11-2001, 10:28 AM Originally posted by thomas1 Perhaps slightly off-topic, but I am wondering if cybersquatting really pays off. Take business.com for example. For the regular person, we do not have access to large sums of money to just spend it on a name or might not want to, but I guess some corporations think differently. :) |
