It looks like Shang (if you don't know who i mean, do a search on 'Tacid') is back. We got an order yesterday with someone using the the following information:

Joe Shang
Houston / Texas

However, the payment was made using another name form someone located in Jaipur, India. The card was declined because the number didn't match with the name and address :rolleyes:

Wasn't "Joe Shang" posting here a couple weeks ago; and claiming he wasn't "Shang of Tacid?" :rolleyes:

You probably won't want to do this, but I'll ask anyway. Could you post the name of the domain he was going to be hosting, so we can be on the lookout for it?

If the "Joe Shang" that was on the forums recently is not the TacidHost Shang, why does he then own http://www.tacidblue.com/ and http://www.tacidhost.com/ ? ;) And no, i cannot post the domain name ...but he will register another one anyways once he finds this post.

I said, "Joe Shang" was claiming to not be "Shang."

Only the credit card information was used from someone in Jaipur, India. It might be stolen or fake ...

QUICK! Report it to the authorities! You could press charges for credit card fraud and get this "Shang" guy out of this business...

where you can report fraudulent credit card orders ? I received around 3 fraudulent orders from Russia in last 15 days. thanks god none was for domain registration.

After that you can contact your local FBI office or local police jurisdiction.

We do have everything automated. It's easy: If an domain registration appears to be fraudulent we change the domain details to ours and that's it. We don't loose anything. :D

That wouldn't be a good idea ...since you would be commiting a fraud yourself. The first thing is inform the payment processing company. The card could be declined because of an error in the address, zip code, city, etc.

I actually wanted to say that of course we inform the payment processing company and other related parties :D . But we also get charged when registering a domain. To not loose any money we do it like i said with fraudulent orders. Nothing else.
