 | View Full Version : Rackshack vs. UnitedColo. HOUSCOUS 08-22-2003, 05:48 PM Hey, guys. I need your advice and help to make a decision. I am looking at Rackshack Intel Celeron 1.3 GHz Plesk 6.0 (http://www.rackshack.net/english/celeron_series.asp) and UnitedColo (http://www.unitedcolo.com/servers/enterprise.htm). They have the same price. I need someone have experiences with them--- I need to know which one has better service with customers, Whose network is faster and more stable, etc.. Thanx in advanced. :) Tazzman 08-22-2003, 05:55 PM If you're looking at celerons, neither, go to Servermatrix. RS's 1.3 GHZ is too slow by current standards, but they have a good network. Unitedcolo has a better hardware configuration, but only a single homed network over Global Crossing. Servermatrix has the 1.7 Ghz celeron combined with a good multihomed network (uptime guarentee) and for WHT members they are also cheaper at $89 a month (see promo in special offers section). EDIT: just noticed RS is now offering 1.7 GHZ celerons at http://www.rackshack.net/english/celeron1_7_series.asp takiman 08-22-2003, 06:34 PM Unitedcolo is horrible. Their IPS are blacklisted. I would also recommend using ServerMatrix instead. ServerMatrix network is also faster and a lot more reliable. Dragoon 08-22-2003, 06:42 PM Stay away from UnitedColo/Sagonet. It is a haven for spammers. As stated above, unless you like having your IPs blacklisted, go with someone other than United.
