One of the major cause of the economy downturn is college tuition. As you can see college tuition raises every year and parents have taken measures to *save* for their children's tuition to college...... Please note the word *save*. Its all the college's fault!!! :)
:uzi: Colleges/Universities :smash:
Yeah, and once you're out working full time and trying to keep the bills paid college becomes very hard to reach. :bawling:

See if they made colleges like UMASS BOSTON ($4k a year for residents) which is affordable instead of them IVY Leagues schools (40k) woah... you can buy a house in 4 years of education! see if every family spends that 40k the economy would be blooming right now.

Or if you move to Cali and become a resident, you can go to community college for $13/credit unit, class costs less than $45, whole semester less than $250 for 5 classes. State schools are around $50/credit, still not bad.

How 'bout the cost of living there in California. . . . Isn't it a bit more than, say Montana?? ;)

I wonder if it would really benefit me to take up some courses with this mess lately. These layoffs are coming around so often lately that i'm just waiting for my turn.

I moved here from Georgia, and I was quite pleased with the cost of living. But you have to understand it's all about location. Sacramento's not nearly as expensive as, say, the Bay Area (although it is getting worse now that we're pretty much a suburb of San Francisco).
But you DO have to compare apples to apples. Small town to small town, etc.
