I want to register a few domains and i came across godady it charge $8.95 US a year thats about $14Canadian here in Canada. My question is www.godaddy.com what differnece does their $9 a year any difference than those that charge $20 a year?

I dont want to get ripped off or anything that i dont know like a gimmick or something.

Anybody registered here with no problems and comments thanks

I've registered 2 domains with them and transferred another one from N*****k S*******s, and I've had no problems at all. I can manage them all from one control panel.

I too use GoDaddy for some of my domains.

I find them to be as professional as any other registrar.

Just ask Christopher Faulkner at *****...

He used GoDaddy to register fu*k*****.com, fu*k*****.org, and a few others...

Shame on GoDaddy for allowing ***** to register these...

No problems with Godaddy here too. I've used them to register several domains. :)

I can't comment on their support as I've yet to test it. Control panel's easy to use and I transferred a few domains to them too. Only thing I didn't like was that I had to fax them the agreements from all the way here in Australia. No biggie I guess :)

General difference between a registrar that charges more and another that charges less is sometimes, the amount of support or extras that come with the domain registration. Note that I use sometimes and not always which should be expected for a higher fee. :)

very good for user

but not for reseller

because they insert godaddy inside the whois record

Just wondering, why pay $35 per year when one can get better support/service/extras at other registrars for a lower price? I don't think they have improved their services that much to justify the registration fees. Just mho. :)

And don't forget, a minimum 2 year registration for starters.

Have a few with godaddy and no complaints, well the only potential complaint that I might have is I ever sign up for reseller. I have seen some sites that are resellers and I do not like the limit of customizing you can do (actual lack of it), ofcourse this may be do to the resellers lack of designs. :smokin:
