Would getting merchant accounts and the internet credit card gateway processing separate be cheaper or would getting them at companies that offer both at a price like $200 setup fee includes the merchant account and gateway. Im here in Canada and im looking into opening a merchant account with my bank, I probably want to get a merchant account from them and then use www.arvicsecure.com to do the gateway processing. I dont konw how much setup fee is my bank or monthly cost to have the merchant account...do you think there is? THe arvic secure place charges $150 setup ( Canadian ) and charges $30 monthly minimum that includes 100 transactions ( $0.30 / transaction ) there is no gateway fee or bill fee just the $30 a month to cover the fees and any over 100 transactions are $0.30 per time. Because there is no statement fee and gatewayfee i think this mighth be cheaper than going thru those bundle places where they charge gateway and stuff.


Any comments or feedback on if I should go this route?

It depends on how many transactions you have as to the cheaper one. The later sounds like a better bet for you though.
