this is a great place! glad my buddy told me about it...

anyhow, im on the search for a new bulk reseller provider. my previous one sux in a big way....constant server downtime and little if any support has finally taken its toll on me.

so, i need a new host. i saw the ad from resellerworkz in the ad forum. nice looking plans and reasonably priced.

anyone got any comments on these people?

also, any other bulk reseller hosts you recommend?

There are many good bulk reseller hosts. What are you looking for Windows or Linux reseller ? Always email their sales dept and ask many - many questions before signing up.

:D

You may want to just read through the Reseller Forum and get an idea of who provides quality reseller programs.

Just wanted to say that you may not find anyone in here who uses ResellerWorkz as we only just launched this service a few days ago. However, I'm sure you will find people here who have used the services of HostWorkz, the company owns and operates ResellerWorkz. :)

been with hostworkz since may-ish last year and i rate them very highly compared to other webhosts i've used. since day one i've received excellent support and customer service plus great uptimes.

chris and his crew run a very tight ship over at hostworkz.

Bruce, I think your domain name has expired. Might want to check it. ;)

I'm taking bets. Is the name 6 letters long?

I am very happy with the service and support I'm getting at IDoLogic:
http://idologic.com

I got a bulk account so that I could manage a number of domains for non-profits that I volunteer for all under the same primary account. Makes my life a lot easier. Damiaan and Jeff go the extra mile for support. They're smaller than some of the other popular names around here, but I am confident that they will grow and be around for a long time. They are prompt, professional, and courteous. And their servers are great too!

Both Dathorn & Crediblehost.com are cheap & reliable. :)

Do a search in this forum and I guess you will find a lot of positive comments about their services!

Some others who have been around years and have nothing but positive comments you should check in to are: Voxtreme, UnitedHosting, and HTTPme.

Granted, these guys aren't "cheap" compared to a lot mentioned.

i dont mind paying a bit extra if the service is better, so im not necessarily after a cheap host.

What is a bulk account anyway?

zshelton

a bulk account gives you a set amount of server resources that you are able to slice and dice any way you choose to create sub accounts that you use for individual domains (the ones that you sell or use for design/testing work)

it seems that most accounts that people are interested int hese days are of the "bulk" type

Not so long ago, most "reseller" accounts were basically pre-packaged accounts from a primary provider that you would receive a discount on and then sell to users with some markup -- you would offer with the added value of your service and support

Oh, i thought the "reseller" package is always like that.
LOL, anyway, I'm new on this kind of things.

Should the main company's backbone or price should I look at?
Or should it be the server spec or customer support?

yes on all counts -- but perhaps the most important thing is to be sure you understand your OWN needs first

We were using Dathorn for almost 4 months and were happy with his response time but not satisfied with the quick short responses. They have extensions for Front Page but he does not support FP. We utilized Microsoft for support to help get around the publishing issues as dathorn maintained it was not their problem. Eventually after about 3 months it was a problem with their extensions and he figured it was a c-panel issue and that I should find another host if I was publishing with FP. We did but the next host set us up with Plesk 6 and after 12 days of trying and 3 days waiting from Plesk it was time to find another host and thou we were not able to publish our daily changes for a total of 3 weeks we were able to have our site up and running before the 48 hours of full propagation was complete.

Idologic's DH single handedly took over and assured us that our site would be up as soon as possible and publishing properly and you just get a sense of confidence with him that you will never be alone and without instant support. IT is totally been like night and now day with idologic.

I have heard about speeds of some hosts that may be faster but I would expect that they run a tight ship and know exactly what they are doing to give their clients top notch equipment and maintenance to compete with anybody.

After reading the posts here at WHT for some months it was easy to conclude that their integrity was not to be questioned and have seen many people helped by them at no cost or expectations. Most of the help DH has given to me over time has been thru PM's that people just never would see or come to appreciate.

There is no way that we can see how you can make a better choice for hosts unless you don't ever need customer support. Their's is proper and concise and always understandable to the lay people. We did have another host in between for 2 weeks that was very pleasant and friendly but they just didn't have the experience or knowledge to get us back online and publishing with or without FP.

After 3 weeks of torture we can finally relax knowing we are on solid ground.

Here's to DH and I DO LOGIC now! :gthumb:
