OK I need some feed back.
*Mods if this is in the wrong spot please move itt and thanks!
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I am getting like 1 or 2 sales a month. Can you take a look at my site and tell me what I should change? Are my plans too much? I just dont get it.
I advertised on a few pay per click search places and did no sales during the time I was on them.
GRRR! heh

From the design point of view:
try to add some style sheets and play with the fonts a bit, and also add some nie images like rackspace.com are doing.
provide more information about your service.
Good luck

It depends, how many uniques do you get a month? Also do you have detaild page reports. For example, do all visitors leave on a page? See what it is they do not like.

Well, we don't allow surveys (ie: check out my site), but I removed the signature and figure we can tackle some issues from a generic standpoint that might benefit everyone. I'll ask that you turn off signatures for any posts you make in this thread (this thread only).
First, you have a site. Good start as, strangely enough, some hosts don't even have this. Does it look good? Would you order from it, or does it look like something you would be leary of? A good site might not guarantee customers but if it is the first thing that people see and they will form opinions on the service based on it, so I don't think it hurts to have a good (if not great) site to start with.
"Are my plans too much?"
My response to that is, for what market? There is no such thing as too much, but there is such a thing as too expensive for the market you are aiming for. There is also a satuaration issue in that your plans may be in line and priced competitively, however there are too many hosts in the market you are aiming for so your service just gets lost among the rest.
Next we come to what are you doing to get customers? If the answer is nothing but throwing up a site and a random special at a few forums, then I think your problem may be over saturation. this is assuming that the stuff above is OK.
I'd like to know exactly what you've done in terms of attempting to get customers. What you've done to get the word out about your service. Where and how you are expecting customers to come to your site and order. the more details you can provide, the more someone might be able to point out possible problems or suggest alternative/additional methods.

Well besides bugging everyone I know (1 sale :( ), I have submited my site to search engines, paid for ads on google.com and searchgalore.com, and a few of them pay for click places.
I also advertise on all my web pages and the banner exchange I run and on a few others. I also added my stuff to a few web host dirs. Not sure which ones because theres way too many to do at once sitting hehe.
I wanted to do a run on goto.com but if you dont do $1+ a click youll never get seen. And all the web host dirs charge to much for banner ads!

Design is one thing that can make or break a company. Check out some big hosts and see how their designs are like. Many of them have lots of information, pictures of NOC, profile about the company etc. I think something like this makes a user feel better with the company they are going with, almost like they know the company. You may want to think about hiring someone to do a design - they make it you maintain it. Plans are semi-important, but if you provide a good service (ie good support, uptime) some users will pay more to get that.
getting your name out is important too. Check out google.com - their ad words program easy and not too expensive. Very targetted to.

opps, see you've tried google, heh. I have used goto and I do not recommend them, I did not like the sites. One thing you can do is if back in the day you hosted with other companies try to remember how you found them. I found my hosts on cgi-resources for example many times.
