Never thought I would miss our Colo provider as much as I do. Actually, I knew I would miss Zannie and Allan. I knew everyone was gonna miss them. They spoiled us.

Regardless of that fact. We are searching for a new Colo service provider. If anyone is interested please email me. If anyone knows of a company that offers service like Version 12 please let me know.

:o :o Frankly, we can't afford to be having these types of down times. We have been down 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I have spoken to one person who works for 5 Star and they told me that the problem I was having had to be directed to Allan from Version 12. Since the sale of the customers I have yet to speak to one person from 5 Star. I have left message after message after message on every phone number they have. I have sent emails. STILL NOTHING.

I agree with Paul. 5 Star's customer service can be summed up in ONE word. ANY 4 letter word you can think of.

Sorry to hear of problems - it seems our little club is growing :). My advice is to contact a guy called Charles Smith - he's the only person there to offer me a semi-decent explanation.

His addy is cts@5sc.net.

T Kitten maybe you'd like to try posting a bid request in our Web Hosting Request Forum and get some offers from some of the providers who frequent the forum?

Well, considering:

Tranxact Global = DV2 = Five Star Communications = Version 12

I'm not sure where you get off saying "I hear" when you know.

Techy, I had a server with V12 too , one of their really good deal specials, their support was really first rate then. Allan really knew his stuff. Within a month of 5sc, I had to say goodbye.

they are only selling their leased access lines in atlanta to us - the rest as far as webhosting goes - is just something I "hear" - thats how I "get off saying that".

So - in fact we are not version 12 - never have been - never will be.

Please check your facts before posting.

I'm sorry, what exactly was the point of bringing this 4 month old thread back from the dead again Jeff?

On the phone, you SPECIFICALLY SAID "Yeah, by the time we get Five Star, there will be nothing left of Version 12." That certainly sounds like I had my facts in check.

no - I am simply trying to inform some people of a pending issue that I have no control over but have some "potential" info on - I hate to see people's business get hurt - I am sorry I tried to help - it was not my intent to get beat up tryng to inform some people. I certainly won't bother in the future. What is the point in attacking someone trying to do a good deed.? Oh well.

Now I get the connection, I missed associating the name (Jeff Hinkle) to the emails. Jeff, as I said, please do this in the Related Offers forum, due to the connection. You are just confusing people by skirting around what you are trying to say. Warn them or don't, but if you do, please just make it clear.
