Can you all with RackShack's dedicated servers tell what was your traffic per server last month? Hopefully after quite a few answers we will get a picture of average bandwidth usage there.
Mine was just about 2 GB.

wow i love to here this from rackshake customers
;)
My RAQ's bandwidth usage for July was more than 170GB. No problems at all. I just don't understand why some people always complain that a RAQ couldn't handle that much bandwidth.
When I first signed up with rackshack, I got only 150GB bandwidth, it is great that they upgrade it to 300GB for free. Right now, I don't have to worry about bandwidth usage anymore. I am happy with rackshack, and if I am going to get another RAQ, I will definitely choose rackshack.
Most people who complain about the RaQ look at things from a technical level and not from an experience level. Technically, a 450 MHz processor would not be able to handle around 300 GB of transfer. On the experience level, I have seen people get close to those figures on a RaQ. It may be possible. It just depends on what all you run on it. As for Rackshack, I love them. Yes, Rackshack has the same problems any other host has as far as downtime and such. But all and all, my server is available when I need it and that's all that counts. Overall, I would rank Rackshack as a reliable host.

Thank you everybody for your answers. No need to vote more. To summarize on the poll:
The majority (2/3) of RackShack's customers did not use the 150 GB/mo. bandwith previously allowed by RackShack. Moreover, more than 1/4 of customers did not reach even 10 GB/month level.
I think this shows they are safe to increase the allowance to 300 GB.

Why not use what you paid for? If you bought a hamburger, do you not consume it all? Or do you take a megabyte (sorry, im lame) ?
300GB is a LOT of bandwidth. Yes, RS gives you 300GB, but trying to use it all in a month is like trying to visit every spot in the world. Some can do it, the majority will not. You have to consider that 300GB of downward traffic is kind of hard to reach, even if you have a bunch of high traffic sites.

My idea in increasing the bandwidth was not that everyone would use it, but rather a "no nickel and dime" approach where your base fee was about all you paid. No surprises.
Sort of like automakers sometimes including the first 50k miles worth of service.

Any of you low bandwith users that have a RAQ and aren't using the whole RAQ, want to share your RAQ?
I won't use much bandwith, and I can pay half the montly fee.
