I need to have some custom modifications done to my site. Only members are allowed to have profiles on my forum. That profile is stored in the form of a series of cookies on the members machines.

I need to be able to authenticate a user to a different part of my site, by just verifying that the cookies exsist. No need to check for a password. If it doesnt, they should get a message telling them to log into the forum, and try again.
