Dear Customer,

I wanted you to be among the first to hear that as of
late yesterday, the merger of HostPro and Interland is
complete. The new company, to be named Interland, combines
the strengths of both organizations to create the #1
business-class Web hosting provider to small- and medium-sized
businesses. Best of all, this merger will result in a range
of benefits to our customers -- including value-driven product
enhancements and industry-leading support -- that will have a
positive impact on your Web business.

This merger brings together the talent and resources necessary
to efficiently build your e-business. In September we will be
releasing the combined company's enhanced product line and new
Web site, which will better support your growing needs. In the
meantime, HostPro and Interland will continue to provide the
same high-quality products and services you have come to expect,
and all sales, service and support contacts will remain the same.
As always, we will inform you well in advance of any changes.

In today's volatile market, the financial viability and balance
sheet of your Web hosting provider should be an important
consideration. I want to reassure you that we are a strong
public company with virtually no debt and over $200 million in
cash. This fully funded business model ensures we will remain
the market leader for business-class hosting.

On behalf of the NEW Interland, thank you for your business.
We look forward to the opportunity to continue servicing your
Web needs. Should you have further questions regarding the merger,
please visit our Merger Information Center at
www.hostpro-interland.com.

Best regards,
Joel J. Kocher

Wow ... they actually registered a domain just for the merger info ? Well .. with their high price... I'm not surprise if they will throw away at least $15 for the domain name .. hehehe..

There was a time, 5 or so years ago HostPro was decent hosting with support to match but like all things, this came to an end. I have read many negative experiences in forums with regard to Interland so they might be good for one another :)

Interland... branding? Naaaah..

Of course I'm kidding. I can't think of another hosting company that has sent us so much junk mail.

You'd think they had stock in the post office. ;)

The letter they sent out is nearly undecipherable by non-PR people. Ugh. It would be better written as this:

Dear Customer,

I wanted to let you know that as of yesterday afternoon, HostPro and Interland merged.

This merger is extremely beneficial to you. We are working together to create a more integrated service that brings together both companies' skills.

Thank you for your continued business. Should you have further questions regarding the merger,

this can only be good for these two companies.
When you get that much cash flow going into what is now only one company, you can do great things.
Like hire more tech support and customer service employees.!
:D
