Im on the look out for a reliable/professional and most of all ADVERT BANNER FREE host ....the last one had banners at the top of the page which killed my sites looks....anyone have some links they can recommend please?

Some extra info I'm after =
Not more than $9 per month
Good support service
Free domain name selection ...(will consider a small fee for this)
Least 50 Mb of disc space
2 to 4Gb of Data transfer
PHP 4.2.3 or equivalent
Cgi-bin support.
SSL security
Potential to uprade to a higher spec if needed
Not fussed about domain being a .com/net/biz etc

ASP support would be nice but not absolutly essential

BTW did I mention BANNER FREE SERVICE

I'm using both myacen.com and unitedhosting.co.uk but you have to go through their plans and ask some questions for specific features.

Paid host are all banner free and they should be able to host any domain. Try http://byzhosting.com they are very good and have been around for years. I am currently using them.

I don't have any specific recommendations...but it's nice to see someone with realistic expectations for a change :)

If you're not looking for much bandwidth. I think you can go for a yearly plan and save some $$.

While you're looking for a free domain name, I'd suggest you look at registering one yourself. Somewhere like GoDaddy.com offers a pretty affordable option of $8.95 a year. My own preference is for http://www.dotster.com at $14.95 a year. That way you'll know you have full control over the name itself in the event your choice of web host turns out to be less than perfect.

Ofcourse everyone will post their own company :).

I would recommend SolidInternet.com (http://www.solidinternet.com/plans.html) which is part of the highly rated Myacen.com

Do a search here for SolidInternet or Myacen you'll find nothing but praise.
