I'm currently hosting virtual hosts on my virtual server and I need a control panel that allows them to have files states, file access, email functions and maybe a file editor. I DON'T need them to have DNS access nor do I need them to be able to do database management.

In other words.. I need a basic panel for beginner webmasters (that's my target audiance).

Trouble I'm having is that every one I find either offers more than I need (like monitoring processes and the like) or they require root access (I don't have root access).

Eventually I'll move up to a dedicated server but not that's not in the cards yet but I want my users to be able to maintain their accounts.

Any suggestions?
Sharon

If you didn't already have a vserver, there'd be more suggestions. Are you considering other hosting options or is this it?

Yes.. I am open to alternatives and have been going through the threads on this, and other web hosting forums, for information on various services.

I'm very happy with my service and feel comfortable offering their high end products but their support for vhosting resellers is very poor. I've discussed this with them and pointed out the issues that need to be addressed.

Even if I was a reseller for another company which has control panel access for lower end hosting options (less than $10.00 a month, for example) I would still need this control panel because I host a number of pro-bono community service sites for organizations. I don't charge for them, they're hosting on my vserver.

I'm also in contact with some programmers about writing a script for me and, in return, I'll help them to market the script (as well as pay them for the script if I must). I can't be the only person out there needing this.

So, yes, I'm open to other suggestions just because I'm not a fool and know that learning from other's is important. I still want the script though!
