Leave it until it gets to 48 hours, then launch a complaint, the thing is to replace a hard drive requires:
Someone buying a hard drive
Hard drive being shipped to them
Someone going to the datacentre with hard drive
Someone installing hard drive in customer access room
Putting server back into main room

So it can take up to 72 hours for repairs to be done. Read your SLA

What about those hosts that offer a 99.99% uptime SLA? Isn't that pretty much impossible if there's a hardware failure? I mean, that would mean that they only have about three minutes to replace a failed hard drive...

Most uptime SLAs only kick in when there is a network problem.. always read the small print. ;)

I feel reget with 1 year contract with them . When my server down i ask for a reboot , a fastest i get about 10 minute , and a slowest ( may be they have lunch or dinner ) about 2 ,3 ,4 hours .
What a bad luck when today they said my dual xeon server got problem so they only can restore a data from 1 month before . :( . And it look like they never care what i said when i ask them to look into my old hard disk to see may be they can save something newer than 1 month .

So order a remote reboot port.
10 minutes is not a long time to wait for a reboot, IMO
2 hours is still acceptable, 3 or 4 is a little high.

Didnt they have a 1 or 2 hour hardware replacement SLA?

Also, reboots are done in 2 minutes here..

I don't know how you guys request a reboot, but I phone them, and its done almost "instant" :)

This is also an experience from a partner company, so not just me :)

Ouch. People do it that way? Can't imagine not having spare parts in inventory on-location with people there ready to install them...
