Thanks, Ricardo davidb 08-06-2001, 10:58 PM This question was asked in another post. I searched this one, but I did not find it, I might of missed it, check the tech forum, I do not think it was made more then 30 days ago. rghigliazza 08-06-2001, 11:02 PM I need to change from IP based, to IP less, the question in the forum, is for changing from IP less, to IP Based. WeinBar Jack 08-06-2001, 11:12 PM It is the same thing, only in reverse. slade 08-06-2001, 11:43 PM According to what I've read so far, Cpanel doesn't do this. Your WHM/CPanel owner should have the information. The apache httpd.conf has to be edited manually, then one of either apache or bind needs to be restarted. I don't have the exact steps, I suggest you contact your colo/hosting provider. WeinBar Jack 08-06-2001, 11:50 PM Here is the post. Just follow the steps in reverse for IP Less: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16228 rghigliazza 09-05-2001, 06:50 PM I did it, and also, i removed the entries in proftpd.conf for all the domains that i changed to ip less. But now, all the ftp users are not able to login, what is the problem? Thanks, Ricardo Brad 09-05-2001, 07:46 PM Make sure there is no listing for your main IP address in the Proftpd.conf as this is what is used for them to logon with now, ftp is stupid, it just likes IP's. Any settings that are important move to the global section, if needed. This should do it ..
