Hello,

My site is located on a Raq3i... and receives an average of 250,000 page views a day. Almost all of the pages visited are text files (An archive)

So far this month, my host is telling me that I have used 65 GB of bandwidth. Is this abnormally high?

Two months ago, when I was getting 210,000 page views, I did not receive any bandwidth charges. However last month I passed my 100 GB limit, and was fined a considerable amount.

Is this normal? Or could someone be attacking my system etc.

Sorry if I sound ignorant... I don't know much about web hosting, I'm usually more concerned with the front end stuff like MySQL and PHP

If your pages are an average of 14 kilobytes (which is probably a small estimate for a text "archive" site) then you would reach >100 GB in a month by 250,000 pageviews daily - Meaning the figures make sense.

As for your server being attacked, I doubt that would make a difference as most providers only charge for OUTGOING bandwidth. If they charge for incoming bandwidth, then it may be an issue.
