Does anyone know of any good resource tools for someone wishing to enter the world of reselling??
Either on line or books.
Or; is the only way to learn by trial and error?

The best way is to just absorb the information here, and then follow peoples links out to sites from posts and homesites and study where theyre coming from and how they do it.
Add in your own experiences of hosts (usually how not to do it :) ), formulate some ideas and then use what you have gleaned to hunt for more specific information. Also give it time until your confidence in your knowlege is good.
A good method I find is a good search engine, take your distilled ideas and search exhaustively on everything you learn about.
This is just sort of my perception of this place, there are players big and small here, and they have a lot to say if you read between the lines (and the occasional pm/email).
I personally spend as much time as I can reading here, but I'm just an infojunkie (that helps too :D )
recellar (http://www.recellar.com)
(A good SE can lead you to any info you want with patience).

Thanks cyberpunk!
By coincidence, I was at your site earlier today.
You are an "infojunkie"; aren't you??:D

I can be sometimes :)
Thanks for looking at the site, I only started it from scratch a week a go after being abandoned for a year. Its really patchy just now but a few more weeks should see it filled out hopefully.
I may even ask everybody here to come add their sites once its ready, but not yet. (If its allowed).
Good luck.
<<MOD NOTE:>>
Consult the forum guidelines. If what you would like to do is not prohibited, then it is OK. Otherwise, well... you know.

Thats what I was inferring.
I wanted to doublecheck the rules before I did something like that. Besides I've got sooooooo much work to do  adding links and directory structure yet its going to be another month I reckon before I'm ready to ask for contributions.
The site will be nonprofit totally.

I get the feeling it may fall into the guideline:
Participants may not use the Forum to solicit users for any project or purpose external to the Forum; public, private, or commercial. Our userbase is not a resource to be "mined" by individuals, groups, or businesses.
The forum guidelines have changed from time to time and just be sure to review the current ones at the time. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Experience is the best tutorial.

We've got a beginers guide to reselling http://www.webhostdir.com/guides/reselling/ but for more advanced information I'd try www.recellar.com or specialist hosting forums such as WHT. Many of the members here are resellers so they should be able to help you out.

I'll look at the rules closely if I get to the stage where I might like to ask. I wouldn't conciously break the rules. I will email a question to the mods if I reach that stage.
Speaking of asking, I dont get emails notifying me of replies to my posts anymore, I emailed the mods email address a few days ago asking what might be up. :D
