Pretty much I just want to install Apache on my Win 2000 machine for testing scripts and stuff. It says in the documentation that you can either run it as a service or from a console window. All I want to do is test scripts on my computer (that way I don't have to go online) and I don't want Apache interferring with other things. Which way do you think would be the best way to use Apache for me? Thanks!

I installed Apache and now I went to test to see if it worked right and I type in http://localhost/. Then for some reason my broswer wants to go online. I go online and I get promted for a password. I click cancel and it brings me to this 401 error page and the really weird thing is that is that the title is Cobalt CacheRaQ Homepage. Same thing happens when I type in http://127.0.0.1/ Yes I do have Apache inabled at the time. Any ideas??? Thanks!
