Looks like the bottom line is all that matters at Pfizer. I know they're a business, but you'd like to think that drug companies would have at least a little compassion, especially when several months back they reported RECORD profits.

Yep, they took over pharmacia which employed loads of people here and fired/transfered pretty much all of them.

that really annoys me, the big companies in general who buy up the smaller ones, mainly just to have one competitor less, not thinking about the people they are laying of due to it :(

If big business malpractices bother you, Cuba is next door and Castro will welcome everyone with open arms and box loads of Monte Christos.
Seriuosly, Pfzier did what they need to survive and maitain high profits.
Healthcare is a business and lets look at it from a profit - loss margin.
