Or you can specify a directory where they can be customized per site. That way you can tell your customers to put 404.html 403.html and so on in the error directory or something so they can their own, pretty popular stuff. brandonk 08-07-2001, 02:50 PM Originally posted by smartbackups you can always make up your own pages, either have it per directory with .htaccess or do you can do it serverwide by replacing them. I am aware of this, and my question was "Where are those Ugly Cobalt Error pages." Seems like you're just posting so people see your website. Chicken 08-07-2001, 08:19 PM Brandon *snaps* now he doesn't know you knew that, play nice or I'll stop the car! :D Eagle 08-07-2001, 08:28 PM have a look at /etc/httpd/conf/srm.conf its somwhere there, at the bottom i think smartbackups 08-07-2001, 09:10 PM I could have gone on about how you should look at the cobalt archives since the answer is there for the taking several times. I figured "heck he wants something more specific" like how to do it per site, etc. I mean he runs the raqzone...back to playing nice. BTW, sig or no sig, I was just trying to help. Next time I will dazzle you with details. jeesh. brandonk 08-08-2001, 12:15 AM Originally posted by smartbackups I could have gone on about how you should look at the cobalt archives since the answer is there for the taking several times. So I asked where they were located at. I have read a few posts of yours, and some you flat out said "We offer bla bla bla" in the third paragraph. I don't know your intention, whether it be to get free advertising by posting everywhere you can, or just to honestly help someone out. I have been a bit *snappy* due to some recent issues (one of which, my 2GB back up file not working for a box that was hacked... yes it was the cobalt utility :bawling: ), I guess I just jumped to conclusions. Sorry... Michael-MS 08-09-2001, 09:14 AM Originally posted by brandonk one of which, my 2GB back up file not working for a box that was hacked... yes it was the cobalt utility :bawling: ) Maybe it was just his name "smartbackups" that irritated you. :D Just kidding around. :) bubblehost.com 08-11-2001, 12:28 PM How does one go about setting a folder for each site for the error pages? Thanks! Chicken 08-11-2001, 02:08 PM Errr.. well you don't need a folder, just an .htaccess file letting the server know what page to display. If you want something server wide, well errrr... just modify the ones that are already there (server wide error pages). |
