We are looking into launching a Windows line of hosting packages, but am uncertain of which CP to use. We are torn between Helm and Ensim for Windows 2003.
Can anyone give their thoughts or iput as to which we should choose and why pleease?

i suppose the question is why are you torn between these 2?
What advantages / disadvantages do you see in them?
What functionality do you require?

I guess if you are looking providing web hosting solutions, helm might do the job better since it has integrated billing system. Ensim is good in its own right but lack that feature.
I am presently using Ensim since all the sites are within my control and I do not need to resell. Besides it came as the only control panel available to me by my dedicated web host.
Thus in short, both are good, it just depends on what features you require which should be your deciding feature.

Have you tried Hosting Accelerator? I haven't used Helm, but I think HA's better than Ensim for sure.

I will be needing the CP for selling hosting accounts via our servers. I knoe Helm has a billing manager, but we have our own, so we don't need that. We currently use Plesk for Linux servers and need a comparable CP for Windows.

Well Im looking at ensim atm for our needs, however it seems they don't have a backup facility?

Id say HELM is definatly worth looking at for windows. It is always updating with new "toys". Its still got a few floors in things like managing extra features, but its getting there.

Check out the new CWIpanel advertised in the "related offers" section ... It looks promising.

Ensim for windows 2003 doesnt seem to have bandwidth quota abilities making it pretty weak :S
Helm is definitely better.
The reason I chose Ensim instead of Helm is because I don't need all the extra features that Helm offers.
No offense, automatic billing, managers etc. is all great but I already built my own custom made solution for that.
Yes, I know I can turn it off.. but I don't think that I want the Helm developers to be spending time on adding features that I won't use (and I don't want to pay extra for that either).
Ensim doesn't have a back-up feature, or bandwith throttling but overall it is a good package.

If I am not wrong, bandwidth throttling can be controlled in Windows itself. I did see something in the IIS configuration.
