I have a slight problem. My new Athlon desktop has only 6 power connectors coming from the Power supply. 1 to the motherboard, 1 to the floppy, and 4 for drives.

Well, I'm using all of them. The system shipped with two nifty little connectors which splice two connectors onto one set of power lines. Unfortunately one is broken, so I am only running with 1 of them. (They power extra fans.)

So my question is, Is there a "splitter" or something available to make more power lines out of the few I have? Or am I going to need a new power supply.

There are spliters you can buy at any computer store. As long as your power supply is rated 20 to 50 % higher then what you are using it will never be a problem.

If you only have a 100watts power supply and are using 90-95watts, you should get a larger power supply.

check the power rating of everything in the system, ive got a 300w power supply because my previous one was not up to scratch. check your PSU and then all of the appliances, and see if the appliances come to greater than the PSU !!

Cool. That is what I need to get. The Power Supply is 400W so it should be fine. I just want to be able to stick another CD ROM and another Fan in there for now, so I should be good to go.
