View Full Version : Webhosts: Which version of MySQL do you have installed?

I'm doing some research on which MySQL version is most common for hosts to have installed now that 4.0.14 has become the production version. So I have three quick questions for the webhost companies out there
Which version of MySQL do you have installed right now?
If you haven't installed version 4.x, do you plan to install it soon?
If you're not planning on installing version 4.x anytime soon; why did you choose to wait?
All responses are appreciated

Thanks in advance

We run 4.0.14 at the moment and will upgrade to the latest stable when it is released.

4.0.13 - didn't know 4.0.14 was out, but from the looks of this:
http://www.mysql.com/doc/en/News-4.0.14.html
it'd be a good thing (lots o bugfixes).

Our servers are still at 4.0.13 with minimal problems. We only had one customers script that had a problem when we did that upgrade, but was easily fixed.

Thanks for the replies :)

So far it seems like MySQL is updated pretty quickly at webhosts (which is good news), but I need some more replies in order to make something out of this questionnaire

So if you're reading this, but haven't answered yet, feel free to do so ;)

3.23.5x still on shared servers. Reason - Sun One ASP (formerly Chilisoft) only supports 3.23 line right now.
