I have my email setup through Outlook. My email is on my rackshack server; and about once every two hours or so I get a password promt, and outlook says that my password is wrong.
I can only login through Cpanel then neomail to check my mail.. Then 15-20 minutes later it'll work again:(

How often are you checking your email? Some machine are setup to only allow a connection be made every so often per hour.

I have come across this before, and it seemed to have been fixed once I made sure that my username was the full email address:
ie.
server: yourdomain.com
username: you@yourdomain.com
password: yourpassword

This actually happens on and off for me too. I tend to believe it's something wrong with the cpanel popper. Example:
Outlook is set to check all of the email accounts, and every great once in a while it errors out on 1-2 of them. I hit send-receive again and it works just fine.
It started happening when the 'pop3 connection flood protection' was added to cppop - at least to me it did. I've been told that the fix domains script inside of the /scripts directory will fix it, but it doesn't seem to.

We had this same scenario happen to one client for one of her email addresses and we went through cpanel with a fine toothe comb looking for why. Couldn't find anything. Eventually, I suggested to her to completely delete the email account from her outlook express and then add it again.
This, for some reason, worked. She had no more problem after that. Why? Not totally sure yet :) :eek:
