Hey Folks,

I just wanted to say good bye to the shared MChost comunity but they have closed the forum and even took the link away.. Yes I saw the notes about that.

I beleave Marc never set out to hurt his customers, but he has done it. And I have had done with it. Move'd on Asta... baby... I wont be back, not to them. Dont hate them, but I do beleave the missmanagement of growth is what is bleeding away there customer base.

I wish all well, best of luck Marc,

To the tech's Thank you for doing your best under I am sure an overwhelming load of problems.

And all of you MCHost people, esp Forums users... I was Yankee on the MChost forums. I do wish you all well in the future.

Matthew

All domains have been removed from mchosts servers, most data on the main account has been removed.

Please cancel my account as of NOW (Augest 6th 2003 3:02 @ 3:15 pm Eastern Standered time in USA) and delete the last invoice you made on 8/02/2003 becouse my renew date is (as displayed on the hard copy i have here 8/13/2003 therefor you were trying to invoice me early.

I have left mchost becouse of the total missmangement, I dont think you ment to harm your customers and all but I think you misshandled the growth of the co in such a manner as to do great damage to many of the rellers reputations with their customers. I can't afford to give mchost any more chances. 99% uptime may be tech right but!!! not actualy esp when some email accounts etc were out for 3 and four days at a time without a response to our requests for help.

This is a real issue, Marc if you want to save your company, take a deep breath and spend some of that money we sent you to hire more help, instead of just more servers for your poor tech's to manage.

Scott , Matthew and all the rest thank you for working hard, and I wish you all well.

I want my voice to be heard so I will copy this message from me to you in Web Hosting Talk and in your own forum. (not in the new customer area I wouldn't be that crass)

God bless,

Matthew *******

I did that not for ananonimity but so the search engines wont log first and last together. I am not afriad of MCHOst they know who I am, I even gave my forum name they can probably look that up.

Yes the MCHost used to be's are mutiyplying.... I feel bad though, only bad that a co that started so well fell into the dumpster simply becouse they didnt plan better and #1 make sure they communicated well at all times with there clients. We clients can be very forgiving if IF they communicate what is happening... the worst is haveing a problem and not reciving evan a "sorry were working on it" message...

I can't believe they killed the link to the forums section as well, no mention to the customers at all. That was enough for me to get out as well. I will be making the transfer shortly.

I live in BC, Canada and am looking for a hosting service close to my area, could in Cali, Seattle, but just closer then MCHost was to me. Anyone looking for a customer that can offer the services simular to MCHost, but provide a forum section, and HelpDesk, please contact me : kxs at canada.com

Thanks...

MCHost just suspended my account without any reason, and without any notice. I'm still waiting to here back from them as to what the problem is. So naturally I'm looking for a new provider as well. PM me if you find anyone reliable.

We informed you twice but your email bounced back. Btw. you've sent in a ticket only a little while ago and i responded to it after about 25 minutes, i think that isn't too bad.

You informed me twice? My email is through my server hosted at mchost.... and it was bounced back? How so? After you suspended my account maybe. Did you try my secondary email address? That would be a good idea.

Account Reinstated.
*eats antacid one after another*
*smiles as the sizzling sound subsides*

25 minutes is indeed a pretty good return time. But nothing is fast enough when your sites are down, and you don't know why.

Marc you do a pretty d*** good job of keeping your cool. I may have some legitimate gripes... but I definitely would not want to be on the receiving end when I freak out. I wish I had your restraint.

Thanks for fixing my account. A bit of advice though...

Better communication with your clients. This will keep everyone happy... sudden feature changes and ugly surprises can end up with volatile conclusions. ie billing, different control panel URL's and ever-changing/moving helpdesk and forums can be a big headache. Lot's of notice should help alleviate that.

Another MChost thread...

WHT seems to be the support forum to MChost's clients!

Don't get me wrong, but WHY you guys don't resolve your problems directly wiht MChost? Wouldn't be more fast?

And why MChost keep respond to their clients via WHT? This really, really bad to your business

Thanks for your suggestions and advice Crash. Tiago, this initial thread was a comment about MCHost by one of our customers. The customer has posted his concerns to our support tickets AND to WHT at the same time, there is nothing we can/should do to prevent this, its not our decision.

Second, we could choose not to respond to the threads on WHT, yes ..but then when the issues get resolved, nobody updates the thread on the status and 2 months later someone visiting the thread will think its never been resolved.

You have point Marc.
But I think you should redirect your custumers to the answer and not post here any kind of details.

Thats my opinion.

But Marc people ARE going to post concerns at WHT BECAUSE you have closed your own forum and they know you read/post here. Why don't you open it back up and then perhaps less of your dirty washing will be hanging out in here.

Thats it Marc....Keep ignoring YOUR problem and it will all just melt away.

Well...I thought you would have learned that method of management is worthless by now. Still...can't teach an old dog new tricks!
