I just got a popup on my entrance into WHT.... it was about webhosting... is this spyware or did WHT actually put up a popup?

I just got a popup on my entrance into WHT.... it was about webhosting Spyware loads software into your computer to show ads, or replace banners on websites. It can also add hyperlinks to websites where there shouldn't be any. Nasty stuff that leeches off real businesses. I recommend the software mentioned above to check your system.... ... and stay away from 'ad-supported' freeware. That's where a lot of it comes from. Xshare 08-05-2003, 01:54 PM No, I think I got them from that Windows Bug that let people take control over your computer. The day it was discovered, I had a bunch of popups and adware and spyware.
