I got a gateway desktop late last year, and just wondering.. The keyboard which came with it is acceptable, matches the comp nicely, which is cool..

But I want to see if there are such keyboards out there which don't make so much noise when typing. Are most buy separately keyboards (one's that logitech makes, etc.) usually have less noisy keyboards? There are such thing as less noisy keyboards then the junkyish ones which come with computers?

I never really tried out the boards in bestbuy, so I never really knew.

Thanks,
Dan

I have a Microsoft keyboard which is pretty good, but on another PC the default Sony keyboard is probably the quietest.

Well, what I found out about the less noiser keyboards was that they don't pop back up as quick as the noiser ones. There are quiet ones... but they feel different to the hands, which may be good, or bad.

I have an older Gateway model myself. And, yes the keyboard is somewhat noisey. However, they are also built much better then most quiet keyboards.

Quite interesting comments.

Now I'm not sure what to do heh. I sure can live with this, but I guess I'll be keeping an eye out for any keyboard deals.

Well, just take that small trip to the computer store and test a few for yourself, nothing better than a hands on experience ;)

I have a logitech cordless elite duo (cordless keyboard and mouse) - little to no click noise here :)

I prefer the natural keyboard by MS... to me its less strain on my wrists so i can help prevent carpal tunnel for a couple more years :)
