Ok, this is really strange.
This afternoon, I deleted a bunch of accounts off of my Raq4r. Right after that, suddenly none of the users on the machine could get to their control panel. So I tried the repair_sitemanage.pl script and it didn't work...but it worked just fine for the Cobalt tech. Go figure.

Anyway, now the problem is that NONE of the domains will receive email UNLESS the email is addressed to user@www.domain.com. Before it worked just fine if mail was sent to user@domain.com. Does anyone have a clue what could possibly cause this?

<edit>
I should add also that if mail IS sent to user@domain.com, I get a mail loop error sent to the admin email account...which seems to work ok. Weird.

Well, apparantly the problem was that everything in the user control panels was restored EXCEPT the "Email Server Aliases" under Site Settings for each site.
It's a huge pain adding them all back in, but it beats the hell of it not working, I suppose.:cool:

Aloha

well not sure if it aplicable but a patch just came out for RAQs I tought it had to do with deleting accunts and something
might be worth taking a look at the raq site

this is the info it says

If a user mistakenly double clicks the trashcan icon to delete a site the siteDel.cgi script will delete the entire /usr/admserv/html/.cobalt/siteManage directory. This package corrects the problem.

The patch can be downloaded at http://www.cobalt.com/support/download/raq4.eng.html

That patch won't fix your current problem, you will need to add the mail aliases... But that patch will save you from accidentally hitting a delete button twice and then siteManage directories being removed...

Thanks, Brandon.
By the way...I just sent you a totally un-related email. Just wanted to let you know that was me.:)

Had the exact same thing happen to me a few weeks ago. It was really annoying, and I almost lost an important client that way. I'm really pissed at Sun right now: how the HELL could they have missed a huge bug like this?
